Fine Vienna Secession Pieces, Geometrically Designed

Adding to our collection of Austrian antiques is the Vienna Secession. Using Biedermeier as their antecedent, The Secession wove furniture, architecture and decoration together under more geometric terms. Initial exhibitions of these works occurred between 1897 -1899. In 1903 the Wiener Werkstaette – the cooperative artist workshop – was opened, producing the finest handmade Austrian furniture designs, ceramics, graphic arts, silver, jewelry, fabrics, fashion designs, house wares, and architectural feats.
